Maia has been an ace news assistant and one of the secret weapons of the National desk. Monica Davey called her “a remarkable colleague. She is persistent, incredibly organized and somehow able to juggle everything that is thrown her way.”The Metro desk saw this ourselves during her embed last spring.

He’s a native Upper West Sider, but also has Albany DNA: A decade ago, he was an intern for The Times Union in the capital, where he covered the campaign of a lieutenant governor hopeful named Kathy Hochul.
