I am excited to announce that Maia Coleman, who during an embed on Metro last year showed tremendous potential to become a great reporter, too, will become the desk’s first associate reporter. Maia has been an ace news assistant and one of the secret weapons of the National desk. Monica Davey called her “a remarkable colleague.
