The FIA World Rally Championship's 500-horsepower hybrid Rally1 monsters are being put out to pasture. Motorsport's global governing body approved a new flexible, future-proof and cost-controlled ruleset for international rallying's top category in 2027. The "WRC27" regulations will allow internal combustion, hybrid and full electric powertrains under a wide variety of body styles.

Tesla has teased the idea of a more affordable car slotted beneath the Model 3 for many years. But as recently as a few months ago, the company said the project was off the table. Now, a new report suggests otherwise; Tesla's entry-level EV could show up in 2025. Referred to internally as the "Model Q," Tesla's head of investor relations, Travis Axelrod, reportedly told Deutsche Bank that the $30,000 EV would debut early in 2025.

WASHINGTON - A Southwest Airlines jet wound up on the same runway with a small private plane that had stopped after an air traffic controller cleared both planes to land on the same California runway in October, according to federal investigators. The National Transportation Safety Board said Tuesday that the planes came within 900 feet (275 meters) t of each other before the smaller plane taxied off the runway.
