    COCO, the African Grey Parrot who had his parents’ worried sick has returned home after he went missing from his owner, Parth Joshi’s home on Masizi Kunene Road. Joshi spread the news far and wide after his beloved bird, Coco, went missing on Saturday, July 27, at around 16:00, and the Glenwood community was on high alert as Coco’s picture was shared across social media platforms. Coco was spotted the day she went missing near Life Entabeni Hospital and again on Monday, July 29.

    GLENWOOD resident Parth Joshi is appealing to the community, especially those who reside near and around Life Entabeni Hospital, to be on the lookout for his African Grey Parrot, Coco, who went missing at 16:00 on Saturday, July 27. “I stay at a complex in Glenwood, near the Life Entabeni Hospital. My African Grey Parrot, Coco, went missing on Saturday, and we have been trying to search for him ever since, and it is now dark, making it more difficult.

    GLENMORE and Umbilo residents say they are still dealing with water issues, including frequent water outages without any notice and low water pressure. Umbilo resident Lorraine Fouquereaux says the water was shut off on Saturday, July 13, and although the water was restored the following week, there have been frequent water issues ever since. “Some homes in Umbilo have been without water since early Saturday morning. Water came on at 19:17 on Thursday, July 18.

    DURBAN resident Saffura Khan is a true testament to the phrase, ‘Disability doesn’t mean inability’. The now 76-year-old was born totally blind and has never let her disability get in the way of conquering her goals and touching the lives of others. Khan is the founder of the non-profit organisation, the Phoenix Light Group for the Physically Challenged, which she founded in 2002.
