Circle K has opened its first ‘EV charging-only’ location in Europe, a convenience store located in Gårda, near central Gothenburg. With ten ultra-fast chargers and a 100 m² (1,076 ft²) convenience store, the location represents the largest EV charging-only convenience location in Circle K’s global network. Circle K Gårda is positioned alongside Sweden’s E6 motorway, which carries more than 100,000 vehicles daily and that the company says is host to over 10,000 people who work in the vicinity.

Volvo Cars has expanded its partnership with Google to deliver some of the latest advancements offered with the tech giant’s Android Automotive OS to its models with Google built-in. At the height of this offering will be Gemini, Google’s AI voice assistant that the companies together demonstrated being used in a Volvo EX90. Through the enhanced partnership, Volvo’s cars will now also serve as one of Google’s reference hardware platforms for future Android development in cars.

Changan Automobile has announced its first international new energy vehicle (NEV) production base in Rayong, Thailand, through which it is aiming to accelerate its Vast Ocean Plan for global expansion.
