You may think the analogy strange, but we are marking the fifth anniversary of the Covid-19 pandemic with a very similar shock to the world economy, which is manifesting itself in very similar ways. Simple, docile villagers subsist on vegetables, and there’s a bit of a nocturnal crime problem. But you can throw together a castle for yourself—not to mention giant steel nunchucks—in seconds. It is awesome.
