A fire outbreak aboard a cargo ship, ‘CHANG MIN’ berthed at the ENL Terminal of the Apapa Port, Lagos, was successfully contained on Friday evening, by a coordinated multi-agency emergency response, with no casualties reported. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Saturday, confirmed in a preliminary report that it received a distress call at 5:55 pm and immediately activated the state’s Cobra Emergency Response Plan from its Onipanu base.

Hajiya Zainab Hussain, the mother-in-law of the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Marwa (rtd) has passed away. She died in the early hours of Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Abuja, at the age of 76. Hajiya Hussain was the mother of Hajiya Munira Marwa, the wife of the NDLEA boss. Her death has drawn condolences from family, friends, and well-wishers across the country.

The Delta State Police Command has arrested and arraigned two men seen in a now-viral video smoking what is believed to be marijuana inside a police patrol van while making obscene gestures at law enforcement officers.
