A severe weather alert day is in place for this afternoon as a cold front starts pushing in from the west. Ahead of the storms, we will see gusty winds and warm temperatures that will help fuel the potential strong storms. Temperatures will ramp up quickly today with highs back in the 80s ahead of the thunderstorms. Expect winds to gust over the 40 mph mark through the afternoon and early evening. Winds will be very strong today out of the south with gusts over 40 mph expected this afternoon.

A warm front pushes in from the south bringing in scattered strong storms. Storms start to organize out west. These early morning storms will be more scattered. It looks like these storms will be held under severe limits. An organized line of storms moves into the area. Stomrs become much more organized through the morning and push in from the west.
