A team of officers assigned to the Kingston Western Police Division seized one 9mm pistol with a magazine containing nine 9mm rounds of ammunition during an operation on Charles Street in the parish on Wednesday, January 22. Reports from the Denham Town Police are that at about 9:10 a.m., lawmen were in the area when they saw a man. On seeing the police, the man ran and threw an object on the ground.

Thirty-one-year-old Andre Whyte, a laborer of George’s Close, Waltham Park Road, Kingston, was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition following an incident in the community on Saturday, January 18. Reports from the Half Way Tree Police are that at about 7:00 a.m., the lawmen conducted an operation in the community when Whyte was seen climbing over a wall at the rear of a premises.

Thirty-five-year-old Raymond Samuels, otherwise called ‘Spent Shell’ of Brontie district, Christiana, Manchester, has been charged with several offenses following a number of incidents in the parish in 2024. He has been charged with Shooting with Intent (6 counts), Possession of Prohibited Weapon (2 counts), Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition (2 counts), Using Firearm to Commit a Felony (2 counts), and Accessory after the fact to Murder.
