By Laura Beahm/Tribune,Nick Blasnitz [email protected] Since snapping its four-game losing streak, the Adams Central boys basketball team went into Tuesday having won four of five games, including victories over Class B Northwest and the top-ranked team in Class C-2 in Grand Island Central Catholic. BRUNING - Through the eight games of the regular season and the first round of the Class D-2 state playoffs, the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley did not have one game that ended with the Eagles winning by fewer than 14 points. Last week, however, BDS was pushed to the brink in a 56-54 triple overtime win, and on Friday, Overton made the trip to Bruning and had the Eagles facing a double digit halftime deficit in the D-2 quarterfinals.

This honestly makes it worse if that’s true. They hurried up to the line to spike the ball for what, the opportunity to run a dumb play to waste a few seconds? Spike the ball with five seconds left and kick your field goal, if that really was your plan.
