    According to a study by Dr. Sarah Louisa Birchley, 25% of Welsh diaspora entrepreneurs, which is around 125 entrepreneurs, are ready to invest in Wales within 12 months. Dr. Birchley identified that 'the messaging about what's happening in Wales isn't really getting out to the members of the diaspora, and especially these entrepreneurs.' They need more information about what's possible in Wales to be able to bring them back.

    A motorist who decked out the exterior of their car in Christmas lights was stopped by police who said it was not safe and could distract other drivers. Officers admitted to being "a bit of a Grinch" but said the Volkswagen, spotted in Wrexham on Friday, was not road legal. "We advise that you keep your Christmas tree lights on your Christmas tree and not on your car," said North Wales Police.

    Further heavy rain is likely to cause flooding on Sunday after Storm Bert swept across Wales, forecasters have said. The Met Office has issued a new weather warning for across a large swathe of the country until 13:00 GMT, with 98mm (4in) of rain already recorded overnight in Libanus, Powys. Natural Resources Wales has issued around 100 flood warnings and alerts.

    The leader of the Liberal Democrats has said his party's Welsh leader should reflect on her position over her handling of a sexual abuse case when she worked for the Church of England. A 2021 report found Jane Dodds, who is in charge of the Welsh Lib Dems, made a "grave error of judgement" by not organising a meeting to discuss a particular case of abuse by the former Bishop of Chester. She has accepted there were "shortcomings".

    Betty Pritchard began working at Watkin-Davies pharmacy in 1965 [Aneurin Bevan University Health Board]Betty Pritchard has finally decided to retire from her job at a community pharmacy after 59 years - and at the age of 91. She started at Watkin-Davies in Bettws, Newport, in 1965 but had spent the previous 13 years working at another pharmacy. Mrs Pritchard, from Bassaleg, Newport, regularly took two buses to work and back each day but has now decided to call it a day.
