Tadej Pogacar's awe-inspiring 2024 season ended with a bang as he claimed a record-equalling fourth consecutive win at Il Lombardia, the final Monument of the year. The new world champion signed off in the same stylish manner he signed on - with a long-range solo attack over the hills of northern Italy. His 25th race win of the season was born from an attacking executed with 48km to go on the famous Sormano climb, which was simply too much for every one of his rivals.
