Sarah Hixon, artistic director of Hixon Dance, sat down with local dancer Anne Raspe to talk about her work with the company and what she finds fulfilling. COLUMBUS, Ohio — As part of the ArtsVote Ohio effort, the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), in partnership with Creative Ohio and ArtWorks in Cincinnati, is organizing the nonpartisan “Get Out the Vote” mural project with renowned street artist Shepard Fairey. The project will feature a series of temporary wheatpaste murals in Columbus and Cincinnati this fall, and a permanent large-scale mural in Cincinnati. A total of 20 murals will be installed in Columbus on Sept.

Kristin Morris is a Columbus-based, 3-D sculpture artist. Her work is often on view at festivals and in exhibitions around the city and is currently on view at the Greater Columbus Art Council’s Loann Crane Gallery as part of the Accessible Expressions Ohio exhibition through Sept. 30. Megan: Kristin, tell me a little bit about yourself. Kristin: I’m originally from Springfield, Ohio. I’m in a 3D mixed media artist and I’m living in Columbus, in Hilliard.
