While the history of Austin City Limits will continue to be written for years to come, the third and final day of the festival proved that its roots are a continuous influence that defines its place in the creative world. With a heavy commitment to the Country genre, while still remembering to celebrate artists of every other artistic sect as well, the day felt like a true homage to the Texas soul that embodies the homage of music only needing to be three cords and the truth.

As the sun rose above Zilker Park, so did the thermostat, with day two proving to be one of the hottest in recent memories from an early hour. However, the sweltering Texas sun did little to deter fans from showing up as fans rushed to the barricade as soon as gates opened to be a part of the festivities.
