Following his departure from Neck Deep in 2018, Fil Thorpe—one half of World’s First Cinema—was ready to take time away from the pop-punk world that had been his life for the previous 6+ years. Under the name Prblm Chld, Thorpe explored his interest in electronic music and began releasing several singles at the beginning of 2019. This is when he also embraced his love for film and began creating sync music (the music you hear in a commercial or between scenes on reality TV).

Today, they joined forces on a brand new version of “Salt” for The Devil Wears Prada’s new deluxe album, COLOR DECAY. Incorporating Rodriguez’s vocals throughout the song perfectly matches the band’s dominant backup screams. Since the release of Dayseeker’s record, Dark Sun, the vocalist has been regarded as one of the best in the entire genre.
