One of the best value picks the Chiefs may have made during the 2025 NFL Draft was running back Brashard Smith. Kansas City selected Smith in the seventh round at No. 228 overall. Originally a wide receiver with the Miami Hurricanes, Smith transferred to SMU and switched to RB in 2024. He ended up rushing for 1,332 yards and 14 touchdowns, while hauling in 39 catches for 327 yards and four receiving touchdowns. Smith will now attempt to make the Chiefs' 53-man roster come September.

There will be plenty of eyes on Chiefs 2025 first-round draft pick Josh Simmons when training camp kicks off in late July. He is expected to compete with veteran Jaylon Moore for the starting left tackle job. Andy Reid and multiple other members of Kansas City's coaching staff have been impressed with how Simmons has recovered from the torn patellar tendon in his left knee, which ended his collegiate career at Ohio State back in October.

Kirk Cousins has appeared to accept his fate as Atlanta's backup quarterback as he was a full participant in Falcons mandatory minicamp two weeks ago. While Cousins is being a good soldier and making the best out if his situation, hope isn't completely lost for him being a starting QB in 2025. While listing his 10 bold predictions for the upcoming season, NFL analyst Jeffri Chadiha predicted that the Falcons will end up trading Cousins to a QB-needy team at some point during the year.
