From The Insider to Zero Dark Thirty, William Goldenberg has edited some of the last quarter-century’s best and boldest films, winning an Oscar for his work on Ben Affleck’s Argo and collaborating with legendary filmmakers like Michael Mann, Kathryn Bigelow and Michael Bay. Based on the sports biopic Unstoppable, Goldenberg’s depressingly disappointing directorial debut, he seems to have learned little about how to make a strong film of his own.
