11 Personnel did not make the trip to Destin to enjoy a little sand and suds with the SEC football coaches. Instead, we’re enjoying our popcorn from afar will chaos unfolds. The SEC Spring Meetings serve as the unofficial start to the college football season. This edition has had a flair for the dramatic in so many ways. It’s almost as though the league is trying to do Summer Radio, but instead of hypotheticals, they’re being 100% serious. It’s incredible. Where do we begin?

The summer recruiting season is upon us. Over the next month, each weekend in Lexington will be a big one for the future of the Kentucky football program. Under the old recruiting calendar, official visits were saved until December or January. Now they’re all over the summer, replacing the significance of the summer camp circuit for seniors-to-be. Keeneland was once thought to be an unsuitable host for the Breeders’ Cup. Now, the World Championships can’t get enough of the Central Kentucky race track. The surf will meet the turf near San Diego at Del Mar for this fall’s Breeders’ Cup. Today, they announced the Horse Racing World Championships will return to Keeneland in 2026, followed by Belmont Park in 2027. Otega Oweh has until midnight to remove his name from NBA Draft consideration. Nobody left BBN hanging longer than Hamidou Diallo.

Kentucky was only a couple of wins away from winning the College World Series in 2024. What are the chances they actually do it in 2025? I’m so glad you asked. The Bat Cats do not have the same momentum entering the postseason as they did a year ago. Kentucky followed up a Regional Championship campaign by only dropping one mid-week game and going 22-8 in SEC play. It gave Kentucky a national seed in the NCAA Tournament, which meant home-field advantage in the Super Regional.

Jaland Lowe is finally free from the Arm-Pitt Panthers. Mark Pope can't wait to see what he can do at Kentucky. "(He) is dying to play with more talent around him." https://t.co/pZ6LAE7RQm https://t.co/qagSOmDl8r

This is a beautiful montage.

Mark Pope is so wholesome 😂 https://t.co/WVrA8ypNzf

Is this going to be footage of them actually paying their best defensive player?
