    The Court of International Trade has ordered the US President to halt sweeping tariff charges announced in April on so-called Liberation Day within 10 days of the ruling. Two separate groups, one of shippers and the other state governments, brought legal action against the government claiming that the statute invoked by Trump, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), to justify the tariffs, was ruled unlawful.

    Three dock workers were killed and five injured in a Russian missile strike on the HHLA operated Container Terminal Odessa (CTO). The strike on the Odessa terminal on 23 May is one of the few attacks on the port since the start of the war. An HHLA statement said: “Despite extensive security measures at the terminal, three employees lost their lives. Five other CTO employees were injured in the attack.
