    It has been exactly a decade since drug driving became a specific offence, and some police forces say it is now so prevalent that it is exceeding drink driving arrests in their areas. On March 2 2015 it became anindividualoffence to drive with any one of 16 specific drugs (above certain levels) in the blood. Prior to that, police officers had to rely on older legislation around being unfit to drive if they suspected the driver was under the influence.

    A recommendation by the Law Commission has suggested re-using grave plots which are more than 75 years old to help cope with overcrowding in cemeteries and churchyards in a proposed shake-up to 170-year-old legislation. It is not something we like to think about very often, but all of us will need a final resting place when we die and we are running out of space in many public cemeteries.

    It is exactly 20 years since The Hunting Act (2004) gaining royal assent, but there are claims that illegal hunting still routinely takes place in the English countryside, with 127 incidents reported to The League Against Cruel Sports in just the autumn of this year. The Hunting Act made it illegal for packs of dogs to hunt wild mammals including foxes in November 2004 and came into force in early 2005.

That's despite roughly 1 in 5 people in the UK identifying as being from a non-white or mixed race background.
