The singer songwriter of Martin Stephenson and the Daintees fame, responsible for big selling albums in the late 1980s and early 90s, such as Gladsome, Humour & Blue, is somewhat unpredictably playing a set at St. Nicholas Church in Brockley on August 30. The concert comes as a result of a personal connection with Anita Joyce, a local resident who helps organise events at the church.

The resplendent vehicles, a real throwback to the past with some of the vehicles going back as far as 1946, branched far and wide from The Parade in the town out on a number of routes including to Wellington, north to Bishop's Lydeard, eastward towards Monkton Heathfield, and south to Blagdon Hill and beyond. The event, which was free to all passengers, was organised by the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust.

Police seek witnesses (Image: Archive) Police are appealing for witnesses and footage in relation to an incident which left a driver injured in Bridgwater. A man was reported to have left the front passenger seat of a car before punching and smashing the driverās side window of another vehicle on The Broadway, at around 9pm on Thursday 22 May. The victim, a man in his early 60s, suffered a cut to his neck from the broken glass but did not require hospital treatment.
