For the last seven years, Georgian photographer George Nebieridze has been immersing himself in Berlin’s chaotic noise-punk scene, capturing its distinctive protagonists on camera. It all started back in 2017, when Nebieridze met musician Karolina Bartczak, who founded the hardcore band URIN shortly afterwards. He began helping out at shows, ingratiating himself with other acts as he worked the doors at feminist-driven gigs across the German capital.

For New Yorkers, a drastic visual switch has taken place since the recreational sale of weed was written into law in 2021. As underground dealers have been ousted by corporate outfits, those clear, boring, plastic baggies your weed used to come in have been replaced by phantasmagoric candy-style packets that compete to catch your eye in-store.

Anti-natalism is the philosophical belief that procreation is unethical because it’s impossible to for any unborn child to consent to it, and also because life is so full of horrors that it’s essentially unfair to confer it upon anyone. There’s also the ecological angle: that humans are terrible for the planet and all other living things. Overall, anti-natalists present the argument that there’s no reason to keep the human race going, besides sentimentality.

It seemed the 24-year-old engineering student based in Potenza, Basilicata had a lot to say, ontologically speaking. The images themselves are beautiful. Few big man wrestlers command as much as love and adoration as Kane, so much so that there’s a fuck load of imitations. You’ve got ‘Gayne’ (Kane, but gay), ‘Candy Kane’ (Kane, but he loves sweets), and ‘Piss Kane’ (not sure what the gimmick is there) to name just three. The 7-foot-tall younger half-brother of The Undertaker hung up the knee pads earlier this year, and is now a Republican mayor in Tennessee. Yet the thematic Kane universe is still expanding.
