    New mobile phone detection cameras in one Aussie state have generated more than $30 million in fines from drivers in just six months after the trail period finished and enforcement notices began being issued. South Australia introduced the technology in the middle of last year, with the cameras quickly sending out 64,454 warning letters during the grace period. But despite the warnings, the fines have continued to come thick and fast with more than 46,000 motorists caught out.

    Property owners are being urged to contact authorities if they find a toxic plant described as a "jumbo weed", with gardeners reminded to be on the look out for Moth Vines – and even report a neighbour if they spot them growing over the fence. Residents in Canberra and surrounding areas are the latest to be warned to keep their eyes peeled for the noxious vine, which spreads quickly and produces leaves and seeds that are poisonous.
