The Russian soldier huddles against the tree in the foetal position. He knows the Ukrainian drone is above him and he tries desperately to hide from it. The undergrowth is too sparse though, and the drone can see him clearly. Sitting in a Ukrainian bunker nearby, watching the live feed from the drone, I can sense the Russian's terror. He knows he is about to die. We arrive under the cover of darkness, to avoid Russia's killer drones.

The NFL Wildcard Round starts this weekend, and the city of Mobile, Alabama will be well-represented. Four of our local players’ teams will be taking the field in this first weekend of playoff action. While recent injuries will unfortunately sideline some, their contributions throughout the regular season are a big reason their teams are in a position to potentially hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February.

Fairhope’s own Riley Leonard is just one win away from leading the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to their first National Championship appearance in over a decade. Fresh off a hard-fought 23-10 victory over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, Leonard’s performance has been one of the main factors leading to Notre Dame’s playoff run. In the Sugar Bowl, Leonard may not have had the most amazing stat line, completing just 15 of 24 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown.
