The event was so well attended, and the crowd enjoyed browsing a variety of Charity Stalls selling gifts. Willingdon Primary School Choir started the evening and sang their hearts out and was a lovely way to start the evening.

Sharron Drury, who works for HICA Homecare Doncaster, part of the HICA Group, a not-for-profit organisation that provides high-quality care and support services across Yorkshire, was awarded the Shining Star Award at HICA’s employee awards ceremony.

Two care homes in Hull have been awarded Veteran Friendly Status. The Hollies, a residential care home in Hessle and Overton House, which provides specialist dementia care and is based in Cottingham, have been awarded the prestigious Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) status. Awarded by the Veteran Friendly Care Home programme, the status acknowledges the efforts of The Hollies and Overton House in delivering high standards of care for veterans and those connected to the Armed Forces.
