    Somewhere between the closely-packed seats of Washington, D.C., music venue The Anthem and the dusty floor of my friend’s East Quad Residence Hall dorm room, I discovered a love for music sans lyrics, particularly, the classical and electronic genres. These wordless additions rounded out my music inventory and altered my listening habits permanently. Before then, however, in middle and high school, I struggled to find what genres and songs I loved.

    The 27th Annual Exhibition of Artists in Michigan Prisons opened in the Duderstadt Center Gallery last Tuesday hosted by the Prison Creative Arts Project. This monumental showcase is the largest curated collection of art by people who are incarcerated in the world and is one of the many undertakings of the PCAP at the University of Michigan. This socially-engaged exhibition is free, open to the public and runs until April 4.
