THE MOTHER of tragic Olivia Pratt-Korbel has been left heartbroken after a memorial area created in the schoolgirl’s memory was set on fire. The memorial park was established by mum Cheryl after Olivia, nine, was shot dead by Thomas Cashman who burst into her home in Liverpool in August 2022. Olivia was hit by a bullet fired by Cashman as he tried to kill gangland rival Joseph Nee, who had run into Olivia’s home to try and escape from him.

A MIGRANT has died trying to cross the English Channel, it is understood. The RNLI confirmed it had launched its all-weather lifeboat and a group of migrants were brought to Dover in a Border Force boat on Friday morning. What appeared to be a blue forensics tent could be seen outside the Lifeboats station. It is not known at this stage exactly how many migrants arrived on Friday.

A MISSING young child was found walking on a busy motorway just metres from moving cars. Emergency services were called at around midday on April 7 to reports of the child wandering on the hard shoulder of the M25 near Brasted, Kent. A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Kent Police was called at 12.07pm on April 7, 2025 to concerns for the welfare of a young child seen on the hard shoulder of the M25 near Brasted.
