A NSW upper house inquiry has found e-bike, e-scooter and e-mobility device regulations are in urgent need of reform. The inquiry made 34 recommendations, including reducing speed limits to 30 kilometres per hour and allowing the devices to be used on footpaths. Lena Huda, the co-founder of 30 Please and President of Walk Sydney, has long advocated for 30kph speed limits, which she says is the "sweet spot for neighbourhoods".

Did the books you read as a kid reflect the world you saw around you growing up? Larrakia artist Jason Lee has written his first two books for kids, and they're inspired by his memories of growing up fishing with his cousins. The books are part of 'Our Yarning', a project that is creating 500 books written by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal children - and they're free to access online through Library for All.

Ngahawi ApanuiMy mum is the hero of my story. She's incredible because my mother, a solo mum with 10 children. And this tiny five-foot-tall woman. And the thing about my mum , she could make me laugh. Because my brothers would come back with their non-Māori girlfriends, I think I'm the only one with a Māori partner, and they would all turn up waiting for this big bolshie brown woman to come out. And this little white woman with freckles would come out.
