A public hearing was held on April 23 for LD648: An Act to Expand the Supervised Community Confinement Program by the Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety. A work session followed on May 1 and a second work session is scheduled for May 8. LD648 is of particular interest to advocacy organizations as it would provide a second look for young adults with extreme sentences.
