The Nashville Technology Council’s new CEO Mark Blaze officially took his seat at the head of the organization on Monday. He takes the reins from interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer Sandi Hoff, who filled the role after former CEO Elise Cambournac stepped down at the end of 2024. Cambournac began her tenure with the nonprofit in April 2022, having replaced Brian Moyer.

If you want your friends or family who come to stay to really get a feel for the South, you’ve got to take them to Puckett’s. From biscuits and gravy with country ham to meat and three options and barbecue, it’s the place my own Southern parents ask to go every time they come to visit. There’s several locations but the downtown Franklin location became the first full-service restaurant of the brand in 2004.

Handmade pasta and pizza are just the start for one of Williamson County’s most beloved restaurants. If you ask anyone around here for a recommendation on where to go eat, Culaccino is always on the list. The restaurant can feel both cozy or upscale depending on what you want your night to be like, and the food is consistently good and always elevated beyond what you think you’re getting.

Williamson County loves preservation and history. No matter what part of the county you’re in, incorporated and unincorporated areas alike, each local government and community values its place in history around here. Many residents would agree it's one of the best things about this place and one of the first things you notice when you walk or drive down the street and maybe even what drew them to the community if they aren’t from here originally.

AGRICULTURE. It’s stamped in big letters in the middle of the Tennessee state seal, and it's been a part of life in Williamson County since it was founded. As the population has boomed, farmland has been depleted through the years and the once rural county is now largely a suburban area, despite all the local historic preservation efforts.
