'Britain is broken. Reform will fix it.β This slogan captured the feelings of millions of people in recent weeks and there is no doubt it helped Reform UK to become the first political party other than the Conservatives or Labour to win a nationally held election for more than 100 years. Our victory was seismic. The two old political parties have been shaken to the core. They will have to get used to this new political era because Reform UK is only just getting started.

It is also an opportunity to celebrate the peace that followed. It is important that we celebrate VE Day each year, but this yearβs celebrations are especially important as it marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe. Sadly, it could be one of the last major opportunities to thank our Second World War heroes in person.

NIGEL FARAGE: Starmer has undercut, sidelined and betrayed British workersBy NIGEL FARAGE Published: 20:44 EDT, 6 May 2025 | Updated: 20:44 EDT, 6 May 2025 Just days after Reformβs catastrophic defeat of Labour in its heartlands such as Durham and Doncaster, the Prime Minister has made his latest fatal error. BBC projected national vote share. Reform 30%Labour 20%Lib Dems 17%Conservatives 15%Greens 11%Others 7%Safe to say Reform won. Take the prospect of a Reform government seriously. Long way to go - of course - these are just locals. But still - seriously. Γ’ΒΒ Keiran Pedley (@keiranpedley) May 2, 2025Woof. Some genuinely seismic results beneath the national picture. Take County Durham. Labour lost 38 seats and only have 4 left. Reform won 65 seats, having not had a single one.

What will be more sobering for the Tories is that this rout could have been worse. It was only their decision to collude with the Labour Government in cancelling nine county elections that spared them. I am certain that Reform UK would have performed strongly in those areas where democracy was denied. The party that I lead is expanding. As we march on, the Conservatives are in retreat. In my opinion, they will never recover.

This Conservative-run council put up a woke warning sign next to a picture of Churchill. Reform UK will take it down. https://t.co/nGmyh35QoQ
