Princeton Win Streak Snapped by Cornell

On Saturday, January 25, Princeton and Cornell faced off in the Jadwin Gym at Princeton University in one of the staple Ivy League matchups. Both teams struggled to get their shots off to start the game and it was a theme that would carry through the much of the first half. The Tigers got their shooting game going with a little help from Caden Pierce but the offense really started to come alive with less than 3 minutes to go in the first half.

The Rutgers spirit squads will be competing this weekend in Orlando, Florida at the 2025 UCA and UDA National competition. The teams were scheduled to fly out on Wednesday morning as competition gets underway on Friday, January 17.

The first half was completely dominated by Kyle Neptune’s Wildcats and it looked like a repeat of last season’s blow out when Villanova beat Maryland, 57-40. Maryland struggled in the first half, unable to climb out of the 14-point deficit they found themselves in.

Rutgers dominated the entire game despite Monmouth cutting into the Scarlet Knights lead in the 2nd half.
