Peyton Albers' childhood memories aided him on Day 1 of the WIAA state boys golf tournament Monday. The Waunakee junior has played at University Ridge Golf Course, host of the state tournament for the first time in six years, since he was nine years old. "The course suits me really well and I know it really well, so I came in super excited to be back here at University Ridge," Albers said. Albers' familiarity with the course paid dividends, as he finished the first round a 1-under-par 71.
