Oregon, who was elevated to Division 1 this year, started its quest for another state title Tuesday against Watertown. The Panthers defeated their Badger Large Conference foe 6-0, behind a scoring outburst from Kylie Steel. The sophomore scored five goals in the victory, including three goals in the second half. “Kylie created lots of opportunities for herself and others in many different types of spaces,” Oregon coach Chris Mitchell said.

Abby Henriksen immediately felt her nerves Sunday upon entering Augusta National Golf Club. “It was just such an amazing place, like the grass looked like carpet and it didn’t even look real,” Henriksen said. The DeForest sophomore couldn’t quell her nerves during the driving portion of this year’s PGA’s Drive, Chip and Putt final. Henriksen had one drive fall out of bounds, while the other ricocheted off a tree branch before landing in the fairway to earn her crucial points.
