The parents of a Rajkot student appearing for the NEET UG exam were cheated of Rs 30 lakh by fraudsters who promised them better exam scores. Interestingly, the case came to light after the Rajkot Crime Branch began a secret probe into the racket following a tip-off in which a parent in Jetpur (name withheld to protect the identity of the son) was duped by the fraudsters in January 2024.

A city bus ran over several vehicles and people in one of the most congested traffic areas in Rajkot on Wednesday morning, leaving four persons, including two women, dead. Indira Chowk, which is the crossroad connecting Rajkot city’s University Road and 150 feet Ring Road witnesses heavy traffic, particularly during office hours. At 9.51 am on Wednesday, a speeding city bus ran over commuters who were waiting at the crossroads for the signal to turn green.
