A policeman of the Babra Police Station in Amreli is on the run after a complaint accused him of raping a 14-year-old girl. Rajkot police on Monday morning razed 55 properties of 38 alleged dreaded criminals in the city. Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi said the move is part of the state police’s efforts to control criminals and those illegally encroaching on government land. The demolished properties included houses, shops and dens of illegal activities belonging to the alleged criminals.
