    The State Education Department has further relaxed its control over admissions to 10 private universities in Gujarat recently designated as Centres of Excellence (CoEs), granting them greater autonomy. Both schools, scrutinised for having ‘non-attending’ students during CBSE’s surprise inspection, had lost their affiliation in March this year. The CBSE had carried out the surprise inspection in December 2024.
