A jubilant sea of yellow decorated the party’s headquarters as numbers continued to come in late on Monday night. In her victory speech, Prime Minister-elect Kamla Persad Bissessar expressed her excitement to deliver all her campaign promises and reiterated her party’s 2025 slogan of “When UNC wins, everybody wins”.

Speaking at Balisier House just after 10pm, Dr Rowley admitted that election night “was not a good night for the PNM”. He added that the party is prepared to accept the electorate’s decision on their representation as the United National Congress. The margin was unclear until Dr Rowley’s speech, but the PNM identified that they secured 10-13 seats.
