Despite the success, the Panthers were unable to climb the mountain top and win a conference title in their last six attempts. This year, everything changed.Under first-year head coach Olivia Leavitt, Middlebury took down Wesleyan 4-1 to claim the program's first-ever NESCAC title.

U-32 football partnered with the school and the American Red Cross on Wednesday to host a blood drive after the team's student-manager was diagnosed with cancer.

The Panthers entered Saturday winners of three straight Division III national championships and a 67-game winning streak. In the NESCAC semifinal, Middlebury faced its toughest test of the season.Wesleyan traveled to the Green Mountain State and dethroned the reigning champions 13-11 behind a strong defensive effort.
