    BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new bike and pedestrian trail is in the works for South Central Kentucky that would connect the city of Bowling Green to Mammoth Cave National Park. Wednesday at the Barren River Area Development District office, an open house meeting was hosted to gauge the community’s interest in this trial, allowing for feedback and help in planning the next stages.

    BOWLING GREEN, Ky – The Boys and Girls Club of Bowling Green hosted an open house to allow parents to tour the facility with their kids. The summer session gets underway Monday, and the kids that dropped by got to tour their classrooms as well as learn about what’s in store this season. In the spring, staff decorated the building with a touring the world theme, but for summer, they’re heading to the campgrounds for a fun time.

    GLASGOW, Ky. – Kentucky State University has made its way to Barren County with a new cooperative extension office. “We just really feel good about this happening and making our juncture even tighter. Congratulations to each of you,” mayor Henry Royse said during his speech at Thursday’s ribbon cutting. The College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources is going to be the main users of the facility, and their dean actually scouted the location himself.

Meyer Gable was honored by Representative Guthrie in the Veterans Courtyard at the Warren County Courthouse Wednesday afternoon.
