NC State’s post-spring practice defensive transfer portal haul continues to grow. Its latest addition? Wake Forest transfer linebacker Bailey Benson, who committed Sunday. Benson, a former three-star recruit in the 2025 cycle, was an early enrollee with the Demon Deacons. He went through spring practice with new Wake Forest coach Jake Dickert, but he opted to enter the portal during the spring window.

The Wolfpack did just that through the transfer portal and high school recruiting with seven new scholarship wideouts joining the program for the 2024 campaign. The Pack added Ohio State transfer Noah Rogers, a former five-star recruit, as well as Wake Forest transfer Wesley Grimes to its outside receiver room.

After NC State found itself back in the win column following a 24-17 win over Northern Illinois this weekend, the Wolfpack is looking to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. The opponent in its way? Wake Forest. NC State will play host to the Demon Deacons, a noon kick on Saturday afternoon, looking for its third consecutive win against the ACC foe from Winston-Salem.
