    A university president is attempting to run across the state in 50 days to raise awareness for multiple causes. Clackamas Community College President Dr. Tim Cook is embarking on a trek for change, known as Running for Oregon Community College Students (ROCCS). The avid marathoner will attempt to run an average of 32 miles a day for 50 days, traversing the Beaver State. He spoke with KXL to detail the causes he is supporting for 200,000 students who attend community colleges across Oregon.

    After a close win on Thursday night to wrap up the home schedule, Havre softball went east to Sidney on Friday to take on the Eagles and routed them, (14-2) in six innings. After no score in the first inning, the Blue Ponies came out swinging in the second, taking advantage of three errors by Sidney and scoring six times. In the fourth inning, another Eagles mistake in the field brought in two more runs for Havre and also got another run via an RBI groundout.

    Box Elder high school student-athlete Tuarie Stiffarm-Rosette was recognized for a major honor this past weekend. The senior dual-sport athlete was given the 2025 Montana High School Association (MHSA) Outstanding Leadership Performance Award for the winter sports season. The MHSA awards the OLPA to one student-athlete or team from each season of sports in Montana. Stiffarm-Rosette joins the Fairview Warriors girls’ volleyball team as the only winners so far for the 2024-25 school year.
