    At the end of 2023, my team was given an important initiative — run a Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithm on about a billion pages of unstructured data. A large part of my job is working with Data Scientists to productionize their NLP/NER algorithms, mainly using Python scripts that scale via Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). This algorithm, however, only runs on Spark.
