On Tuesday, June 24, ACS announced that Harvie, who currently serves as assistant principal, will be the new principal of MVES for the coming school year. She will be suited to the role thanks to her extensive background in education across multiple settings and states, according to ACS.

During a City Council meeting on Monday, June 23, the Alabaster City Council approved a resolution appointing Teele as the chief court clerk and chief magistrate. Upon approval, Judge Joey Walden swore in Teele to the new position.
