RESIDENTS of Taman Desa who attended a meeting with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) today claimed that the city council did not provide enough clarification on a proposed project they are objecting to in their neighbourhood. Taman Desa Residents Association (TDRA) chairman Wong Chan Choy said that most of the questions raised by the residents were not fully answered. “When residents asked DBKL officers several questions, their response was “we have taken note”.

[WATCH] KL night markets may disappear in 10 years, says association NIGHT markets, or “pasar malam”, in Kuala Lumpur could be extinct in 10 years if nothing is done to address the issues plaguing traders and hawkers. NIGHT markets, or "pasar malam", in Kuala Lumpur could be extinct in 10 years if nothing is done to address the issues plaguing traders and hawkers, the night markets association said. They cite a bleak business outlook, blaming e-hailing food delivery services, rapid city development, ungazetted night market areas, and a drop in customer numbers due to poor locations as contributing factors for their impending demise.
