When I was in high school, I missed a lot of questions on a lot of tests. But there’s one question I’ll never forget. It was pretty simple. The image displayed a slice of the earth’s interior, with a question: What is the name of the stuff in the middle? I thought of two answers. One was “the core of the earth,” because that IS the middle (and was the correct answer). But I tried to outsmart the question, and picked something else. I got it wrong. And never forgot it.

I'll get to the point: the greatest threat to humanity is not climate change, or nuclear war, or a global pandemic. It is something far more sinister, something that can unleash all of those apocalyptic threats - and worse. The greatest threat to humanity is the weaponization of truth by AI. The PromiseArtificial Intelligence (AI) has evolved exponentially, promising a future where "AI for all" is more than just a marketing slogan.
