1. IntroductionDestination image is a key element in the success of tourism destination, influencing tourists’ decisions, trip quality, perceived value, satisfaction, and behavioural intentions (Chen and Tsai 2007; Chi and Qu 2008; Li et al. 2023). This image can be shaped by audio-visual products such as films and series, giving rise to the phenomenon of “film induced tourism” (Riley et al. 1998; Beeton 2005; Croy 2011).
