IntroductionColloquially known as ‘the Bean’, Anish Kapoor’s sculpture Cloud Gate is a large mirror-like elliptical shape located in Chicago’s Millennium Park that reflects the city’s skyline and the nearby visitors. Despite its close identification with Chicago, similar ‘beans’ have mushroomed elsewhere, such as Cleveland, New York, Jerusalem and Karamay (China) – most, but not all, were created by Kapoor.
