Mack Trucks said Thursday it will lay off up to 450 workers at factories in Pennsylvania and Maryland due to the impact of tariffs and other economic factors. The layoffs at the Lehigh Valley Operations in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania, will be conducted over the next 90 days. Mack Trucks will lay off up to 100 workers from a factory in Hagerstown, Maryland, by May 2, according to News Talk 1037FM.

Mexico was the United States’ top trade partner in February, with two-way commerce totaling $68.4 billion, according to the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Trade between the U.S. and Mexico during February was a 2% year-over-year increase compared to the same month in 2024. Canada was the second ranked U.S. commerce partner with $63.2 billion during February, a 2% year-over-year increase compared to 2024.

San Francisco-based Fictiv has been acquired by Misumi Group Inc. in an all-cash deal worth $350 million. The acquisition will help Misumi Group expand its digital services and expand its customer base, officials said. Tokyo-based Misumi Group is one of the largest global industrial suppliers of off-the-shelf manufacturing components. The company has 22 manufacturing sites and 20 logistics facilities around the world, producing and distributing industrial supplies to 318,000 global companies.
