Chris and I tag-teamed today’s joint practice, with Chris setting his sights on Baltimore’s defensive unit. I got to focus my attention on the offense. Another skirmish may have broken out today on Chris’ side of the field, but there was no shortage of fireworks on the offense’s field today either. — Following some individual and position group drills, Baltimore’s receivers and tight ends broke into groups for 1-on-1 drills against Washington’s defensive backs.

Over this offseason, there’s been a lot of attention on the development of Baltimore’s new offense, and rightfully so. The Ravens turned the page on Greg Roman, added some high-profile wideouts, and inked Lamar Jackson to a long-term contract. Understandably, expectations are higher coming into 2023, which was part of what had everyone riled up on Saturday. Admittedly, I cringed when I saw the numbers as well.

After a tough Friday practice for the offense, it was more of the same on Saturday, with a practice marred by false starts and turnovers. In individual drills, Lamar Jackson and company looked sharp. The franchise QB has clearly continued to develop his throws outside the numbers, and his spirals looked tight. Early on, Odell Beckham Jr, hair dyed a bright purple, was receiving tons of love from the fans.
