Schoettler, who is from the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, said she, her mother and sister anxiously followed the news and watched as the evacuation orders spread through their neighborhood. Eventually, they received the devastating news: the fire had reached their home.

Students across campus have been engaging with the referendum on all sides; the past two days have seen tabling events, widespread social media and texting campaigns and a Sumud Coalition banner drop out of Humanities Quadrangle on Wednesday. The pro-Palestine Sumud Coalition wrote the referendum ballot which includes three questions.

Wikimedia Commons Former President Donald J. Trump has won the presidential election and will become the 47th president of the United States. He defeated Vice President Kamala Harris with at least 277 electoral votes and flipped at least three tossup states that he previously lost in 2020. At 5:34 a.m. Wednesday, the Associated Press called Trump’s victory, as the former president had secured the 270 electoral votes needed to win with his triumph in Wisconsin.

Students at Yale have expressed mixed reactions to the decision. The News spoke with 10 Yale students about the committee’s report.
