Burlington’s Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) is anticipating this Wednesday, April 30 as peak bloom for its cherry blossoms. “April 30 should be peak at RBG, with all the early types in full bloom and some of the later types beginning,” said Jon Peter, the RBG’s horticulture director, in an email. If it seems they’re a tad late this year, that would only be because lots of people have a short memory. The RBG keeps a yearly tab on peak bloom and last year’s peak bloom was listed as April 18.
