BEMIDJI, Minn. - The NMU hockey team completed the weekend sweep, defeating the Bemidji State Beavers 3-1 on the road. The Wildcats (4-19-1, 3-12-1 CCHA) have earned its third win in the past four games, the teams first sweep of the season, and first weekend sweep in Bemidji since February 13, 2021.

MARQUETTE, Mich. - Matt Majkrzak and the Northern Michigan men's basketball team have added seven to National Letters of Intent on National Signing Day 2024. Nathan Fife, Pryce Gregoire, Keller Hanson, Brooks Hinson, Andrew Murphy, Trevor Polite, and Ross Robertson will join the Wildcats as freshmen in 2025-26. "While most of the country has shifted their focus to the portal, we have doubled down on our commitment to recruiting high school student-athletes," said Majkrzak.

His jersey will be raised in Vandament Arena, joining Ted Rose and Gene Summers. The announcement was first made in a surprise video done by Izzo's lifelong best friend Steve Mariucci (QB of NMU's 1975 football national championship team) that was played at the Breslin Center during Michigan State Madness on Friday night (October 4).
